ICE Challenge 2025-26
The International Coding Elite (ICE) Challenge is set to make a comeback!
The International Coding Elite (ICE) Challenge, is celebrating its 6th anniversary with smart coders. This year features Primary and Secondary divisions across Hong Kong and Macau. In Hong Kong, sub-regional awards will be presented for Kowloon, New Territories East, New Territories West, and Hong Kong Island & Outlying Islands. The event aims to foster coding exchange, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills, while advancing social good—particularly by promoting the participation of underprivileged students to help them enhance their coding skills and learning motivation, enabling broader and fairer access to digital learning.
Competition Platform and Awards
Platform: CodeCombat (game-based coding challenges with progressive skill-building)
Preliminary Awards: “Outstanding Coders” certificates for the top 120 students (Primary and Secondary); all other participants receive e-certificates
Special Award: HKACE “STEAM for All” Outstanding Award (top 3 in Primary and top 3 in Secondary)
Grand Finals (Overall): Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up
Prize package: Trophy + Printed Certificate + CS1–6 license (3 months) + CodeQuest global qualification
Regional Awards: Hong Kong and Macau (Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up)
Hong Kong Sub-regional Awards: Kowloon, NT East, NT West, Hong Kong Island & Outlying Islands (Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up)
Teacher Recognition: Most Active Participating Teacher Appreciation (Primary and Secondary)
